Filters for digital camera

I have a Sony DSC F717, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a brand of filter. I am thinking of getting a circular polarizer, a UV filter, and possibly a neutral density filter, though I don't see how an ND filter would be different than closing the aperature a stopp or two. Does anyone kknow of any brands that are excellent?

    I don't know what brand I have. I picked up the cheapest UV filter I could find just to protect the lens. I don't even think a digital camera needs a UV filter since the digital sensor only picks up Red, green, and blue. Unlike film where UV light can effect the negative.
