I guess this is the best place for this question. Is there anyone making a pair of decent to excellent-sounding pair of Bluetooth headphones?

Bluetooth is not fast enough to support headphones, so they don't exist.

That's a drag, because it would be really convenient.

Convenient? With a range of 10 meters? If there are walls it's even less.
There are headphones which work with RF-technology.
I believe Sennheiser makes some.
Their entry
model

it would be very convenient - no wires getting caught up round your neck/arms/doorknobs/bag strap/other people...

I have a pair of Sony RF headphones... really nice they are. They were a little under 100 bucks, but quite honestly I don't know that bluetooth headphones would be too much less even if they were made.
