Screen Capturing Software for DVD movies
Is there any free or cheap software where I can take screen captures from DVD movies on my mac? When I do the shift-command 3, the pict that is made is blank.
Or if anyone knows a good desktop wallpaper website that has pictures that are 1280x1024 or higher. Most of the sites that I've found are either crappy sites that have reams of popup windows.
The reason I'm asking is because I've got a little hobby of compositing myself in movie scenes with photoshop. Here is a sample of one of my composites.
It's difficult finding good quality photos to use. Most of the stuff on the web is compressed up the wazoo or just scanned badly.
I'd like to do an Indiana Jones composite next. (The scene where he is trying to swap the gold idol with the bag of sand or the scene when he shoots the guy with the huge simitar.

Though, if you think you could wait a little while, there's a vastly improved (specifically in the video capture engine) version 2.0 in the work as you can see in this thread.
