Just a thought on the Powerbooks...

It popped into my head while looking at the keyboards on the PR photos of the PowerBooks...



I think it would look really sleek if the keys were laser cut from the same piece of aluminum used to on the upper body. It'd look much more like a slick sheet of metal. No rounded edges, less spacing in between... yeah.



I am presenting this idea purely from an aesthetic point of view. Disregarding weight/heat/manufacturing implications, what do you think?

    It would make the edges of the keys too sharp. Also it's nice to have some tactile feedback so you know when your finger is directly over a key, between keys, or something like that. I just don't think it would work. Although it would look cool.

    Yeah that's kind of why I asked what you thought of the idea from a visual sense. I realize it's probably not very practical.
