How To Host a FTP Server

Newbie question, don't laugh...



i downloaded the Transmit application and have no clue how to setup my own FTP server. Where do I get an address for others to access my computer?...etc.

    If you turn on FTP in the sharing menu of system preferences it will give you an address to give out to users, They will be able to login to their home folder that you have already made for them with the accounts section of system preferences.



    If you have a 192.168.XX.XX style IP for them to log into then things could get a little more difficult.
