That came with my G5? It looks like it has apple's audio symbol on it.

Check the booklet that came with your G5. There's usually pictures of each item enclosed. Sounds like some kind of connector.

That's the external Airport antenna.
If you got bluetooth built in you should have a little cylindrical external antenna for it too.

Right, the case of the G5 blocks the airport signal unless the antenna is external. Bye-bye nice integrated antenna like in the G4...
I want to know how the signal is...but sounds like you are not exactly going wireless anytime soon since you are unpacking things...
Yup, the icon is radio waves, not to be confused with the sound waves in the audio icon...

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm not getting an airport anytime soon, but I've been trying to get a linksys wireless router to work so I can surf on the couch with my wife's vaio.
