VPC and TCP/IP issue
Hi all
I'm having a bit of an issue with my new 1.25 15" AlBook, VPC 6.1 and connecting to my works UNIX database via TCP/IP on a graphite airport BS.
I am running Pronto (thin client) on VPC (running XP) which runs OK, but I can't seem to get Pronto to connect to the database via the dialup airport. I keep getting a connection failed error.
I have an old AMD box from work that connects fine via dialup to the database, but I want to ditch it so I can run everything from my PB.
Is this an airport thing (doubtful as explorer loads pages while connected via airport) or is there some VPN software that I need (not that I have any VPN thing going on the PC that I know of)?
Any thoughts would be great!!
