Making my G5 into a TV

Ok I have a single processor 1.6 GHz G5 with a 20 inch cinema display and a Dell 19inch flat panel lcd. I bought the EyeTV box and want to use the Dell monitor for a TV in our bedroom since our TV died. I am very disappointed in the picture quality so far. Is there a better solution?

    EyeTV uses MPEG-1 to encode video on the fly.

    Regular NTSC is 500 lines...interlaced.



    You shouldn't be that surprised in the video quality...

    Why wouldn't you just buy a cheap TV from target?



    Edit: I guess I'm also saying this knowing that non-HD TV signals look horrible on good high resolution displays.
