VirtualPC with Non-Windows VPCs

Anyone had any experience running Linux and Solaris (Intel version) under VPC6?

Solaris won't install, gets so far then hangs - I suspect it's incompatible?

Linux I cannot for the life of me increase the screen size regardless of whether I'm in X-Windows or if I'm at the command prompt. It just stays at the default VPC size, I'm not surwe what res. it is, but its a small window. If I switch it to full screen mode its still the same tiny size - just with a black border around it.

I tried increasing the resolution in the X-Win config but it wouldn't have it. But I'd also like it to utilise the whole of my display when its at the command prompt too.

Can somone please offer thier advice / experience.

Also what do you think the future of Linux support in VPC is now MS has it? Do you think they'll do their upmost to make it incompatible?

Just because I wanted to learn about Linux (& Solaris) and this was the cheapest way of doing it.

    start with the terminal then...

most of the commands your mac has are the same as linux ones.

... just keep away from the "rm" command.
