.Mac Trial Account?

I'm thinking about signing up for .Mac to use with my shiny new iMac, but I've got a couple of questions...

1) I've seen a .Mac box in my local PC World - is this any different to signing up over the web?

2) If I sign up for the trial account, will it automatically be converted to a full account at the end of the trial, or will it just expire, or will I be given a choice of what to do?

3) Can the '.Mac exclusives' (i.e. the software etc. offers like iBlog and Contribute) be purchased at any time (assuming the offer is current)? Are they available to .Mac users outside the US?

Thanks,

Dave.

    1. No, they are the same.

    2. You will have the option to pay up and keep the same account.

    3. I think so on both accounnts.

iBlog is free. The promotion for Contribute runs out. Make sure you download the free applications when you see them, because they take them off periodically and then they're gone.
