I just installed a new apple wireless keyboard and mouse using an external bluetooth adapter. Set up was easy and they work great. Problem is, when the mac sleeps, they won't wake it up. I have to either push the power button or if I plug in the usb mouse and click it, the unit wakes. Any clues?

Try updating to the latest bluetooth firmware- I think it corrects this problem...

In the bluetooth Preference Pane, I see a "Allow Bluetooth Devices to Wake from Sleep" (or something along those lines), but my Dual G5 with 10.2.8 disables the check box. Thus, my Apple Wireless keyboard (and soon mouse, too) will not wake the machine.

As richcigar said, I do believe the firmware update will solve the problem. But last I checked Apple has only posted the Tech note and not the actual firmware update yet. Alas, I guess for the time being I'll just have to wake the machine by touching the pulsing button on my Cinema Display -- poor me, right?

You have to install the Firmware on the CD that came with the mouse and keyboard

I just installed the firmware update off the CD and the checkbox enabled itself. Who'd a thunk?!
