    I agree, totally annoying.

Again, the standard non-answer from Apple:

"Doc, it hurts when I do this," the man said, wiggling his shoulder.

"Then don't do that," replies the doctor.

And here I thought I was going crazy. Glad to see the mother ship own up to this bug.

As far as I can tell, yes, it is fixed. I encounter this bug on a regular basis in 10.2 but have yet to see it crop up in any build of 10.3.

    Speaking of sound... :-)

Does Panther put 'sound subsystem' to sleep when running on batteries?

I hate that, every time i press volume button, or get new mail, it takes few secs to hear anything, aaaaaand volume control is just screwed up, when running on batteries as well, totally unresponsive.

It's the opposite for me. I NEVER saw it in 10.2, but I've got it in every build of 10.3 I've used. I'm using SoundSticks btw.

I haven't seen it in any build of panther, but I did once in Jagwire.

    I'm using Soundsticks/Headphones.

What a joke...for the longest time I thought I had a speaker going out, until I dug into the System Preferences and saw the balance wasn't centered
