I just got AiPort installed and have been using for about two days now. It seems that when on the net, battery life is longer than when conneted via ethernet. Does the Ethernet port draw power? What is going on here?
I am using a cable modem.....
thanks

I can't even get that kind of time with the screen dimmed......and in OSX the power management doesn't seem as good as in OS9.
Anyway it seems to last longer....
I used my Ti PB 667 for about 3.5 hours on the first flight, charged it for an hour in Dallas, used it for 2.5 hours on the second flight and still had one bar of battery power left when I landed. This is in OS 9.2.2 with the screen dimmed (but even at the lowest brightness it is very adequate and I didn't feel strained at all) and iTunes playing the entire time.
I bought a second battery, but the only time I used it was on the flight to Hawaii earlier this year (with my Ti PB 500, which this one replaced).
Oh, in an attempt to stay on topic, I had Airport turned off except when I was charging (there are 2 wireless networks available in the Dallas Fort Worth airport). I've found that it decreases the battery life, however I do not know to what degree. I rarely use ethernet, even at home, and when I do my PB is always plugged in.
... now if only DVDs didn't use so much battery... Still can't get much more than 2 hours when playing DVDs.
