What laser printer should I buy?
My dad's b-day is in November and we're getting him a laser printer so he can print documents. I'm trying to find one that's around $200-400 and one that?s high quality. I have heard that HP makes good laser printers and I have been eying the LaserJet 1300, which is $399, and the smaller LaserJet 1012, which costs $199. I think I'm leaning towards the 1012. Any suggestions? Is HP good?
Comments
I wouldn't go too cheap on a laser printer, because I've read on these forums about people having problems with the cheaper ones.
Best of luck!

Anyone heard anything about the LaserJet 1012?
Probably not since it came out TWO days ago.

Well, it's been out a little longer than a couple of days lol, but from the couple of weeks it has been available in my store accounts(HP Rep here), it has been doing pretty well. Compares very nicely with the 1200, which the 1300 replaced, and much smaller footprint compared to the lj1xxx series. dferigmu, next time your in a store that has the 1012 powered up, do a test page and check out the output. Press the resume button(green) and it will print out a sample print page.

Thanks, but what about the guy above who said that low-priced laser printers tend to have problems?
