Guilty of 10 and 6, well not really 6m or am I... either way, I don't think this list is completely accurate.

Guilty of Star Trek, but only in a private, non-obtrusive sort of way.

Not guilty of any of the others. I notice that wasting time on AppleInsider is not mentioned, however. How accurate could it be?

There was a whole show on it on MTV last year. I've had nightmares. Seriously.

IIRC, Furries started as a Virtual MUD Phenomenon (a la EverCrack)

there are mentions in WIRED, a few books, and a fair bit of Japanese press

I do like Star Trek, but I don't think I'm a trekkie. I said I liked Star Trek once and some guy (who was apparently a trekkie) started to ask me questions about what I thought about "Tasha Yar." (that was the gist of it) I don't know enough about Tasha Yar to answer that question, to this day. Except that she was hotter than Worf.

Just to answer questions about the fact that I brought up a short lived character in Star Trek, I have a fantastic long term memory. I honestly can't help it.

Furthermore, in certain circle (cough ivy league cough) most people are closet Star Trek fans.

I think "seeing how far to the longest decimal you can remember Pie"

At one point I could remember it to the 11th place, it's something I am proud of.

I've gotten laid after scrapbooking. It's 99% women (but 97% wives and mothers). Beats trekking.

Wow. Making iPod photos or photographing your airline meals is not on the list. So I'm not a geek ...

I am a Trekker & proud of it. But in my case it just consists of watching it on TV and eating a sandwich & drinking a beer or three. No dressing up or anything..much too embarrassing.....Does that make me a Geek...?
