Macrumors has a display of the new iPod accessories ad at apple store UK... and I am counting the seconds here,,... before the next big thing is announced...

Also, Think Secret has a report claimed to be from a reliable source about the accessories., and iTunes 4.1 and the obvious iPod Firmware update - with a new bonus game., and more...!!!

Any idea what the new accessories might cost? [As if I would care...Gimme the URL where I have to key in my credit card details, to get the new accessories ]

Anybody more waiting to lay their hands on them?? or did anybody came up with designs of what the accessories could look like??

All I know is this new mic had better be very elegant and clean. Nobody's going to want to hassle with a long cord, especially in a school setting.

Sweet. Looks like I will just HAVE to get one of these new iPods in the near future. I hope they are smart enough to put a line in on the recording device though... Heh.

Now that the iTunes for windows is out and the accessories,

anybody who has already bought them or tried iTunes for Windows?

What are your first impressions of both?

I live outside US...and have downloaded iTunes for PC already...and it - to put the least - ROCKS!!!. 8)

I am even able to browse the music store.., and preview the tunes, thought I cannot buy them.

The app is a bit of memory hog - around 8Mb right now... But, I am not unhappy about this... The interface etc are really worth the little large memory footprint... and I am not worried about this at all...

I have been using windows since Windows 95 has come... but, not a single app impressed me as much as iTunes did already...!!!

I initially had problems connecting to store...[I am behind a proxy] I clicked on 'Help -> Itunes and Music store help' and found out that iTunes gets it's default internet settings from Internet Explorer... So, set up the proxy settings in IE and voila!!! My iTunes started connecting to the store...!! As simple as that...!!!

[But, strange as it may seem..., my 'default browser' in windows is Mozilla FireBird..., not Internet Explorer... STILL, iTunes wants to look for settings in IE... Maybe, I'll have to file a bug/suggestion report!!]

What are your experiences with iTunes?

What do you think about it??

[You can download iTunes for windows, even if you don't have an iPod - here:: http://www.apple.com/itunes/ and click on download link at the top-left of the page]

Oh btw, I already own an iPod... and planning to buy a revised iBook as soon as it's in store...

Funny thing is that I called the local NextByte store [apple authorised reseller in Australia] and they did not even know about the new recorder for iPod....

'recorder...what? for iPod?...' was the precise response...!!! I gave him the URL of apple iPod and enlightened him about the new accessories... and waiting for a call back from him, about when they'll be available in Australia...!!!

    Sorry for the continuous posts...But,

the new software update won't install on win2k unless you have atleast Service Pack 4...!!! or XP!!.

    Here's the error msg:

"iPod requires Windows 2000 (SP4) or Windows XP. Please update your Windows Software and try again."

What about the people who are still stuck with winME or earlier versions?? Do you know of any reason for this requirement??

Well here are the list of fixes for Service Pack 4:

There are no new features in Service Packs so I guess there's something in there that needed to be fixed before iTunes could run....or something
