i have an ibook 600mhz dvd (custom config with 20 gig drive and 256 ram)

and..i noticed that when i use it to play games and such for quite some time..it gets hot...and i mean..really hot

to the point where it's uncomfortable to be on my lap

is this normal? or...is this a bad sign?

anyone knows?

Yes the over heating of the iBook is normal. Its the shitty mobo design they used that does not let it cool down enuf.

Now if you had a G4 PB thoes stay nice and cool as the mobo's for there were made different for the heat to be distrubited.

Apple does know about this some people have gotten small burns after leaving it on for a day and picking it up. I hope they do recall them and fix them.
