Adding bluetooth to a G5
I am looking into buying a new G5. I called my local apple store and they said that have base models in stock. The base models they have in stock are exactly like the base models on the website and they do not come with a bluetooth module installed.
Not having blue tooth right now isn't a big deal because I don't have any bluetooth devices, but I figure sometime in the next few years I will probably buy something and want to add bluetooth to my computer. Is adding bluetooth as simple as adding ram or an airport card? I know I can buy a USB bluetooth adapter, but I am not sure I want to tie up a USB port permanently.
If I am able to add bluetooth internally later, I might run down to the apple store today and pick up my G5 today. If I can't, I might custom order it over the website with bluetooth and have to wait 7-10 days.
It really isn't a huge deal, but I am just curious.
