archive install

Does anyone know what exactly the archive and install option in Jaguar does? I am wondering if user-installed non-system directories are affected. In particular, the /sw directory created by fink would be deleted? What about extra user-installed subdirectories in /Applications?

Thanks,

PB

i'm about 80% sure that fink's /sw won't be affected. i about 95% sure that things won't be deleted, but moved aside if anything (its not called 'delete and install').
