Flashing a PC video card

I have an old mac 9500 with a G3 upgrade, and I am interested in getting the most gfx power out of my machine, I have a voodoo 3 3000 pci, but I need somethig better. I could flash a pc radeon 7000 64 meg, but those are slower than the origional radeon Mac Edition released 2 years ago. I have heard of people flashing pc geforce2 mx pci for use in macs, will that work in an "old-world" mac. Do i have any other options (does anyone have a radeon 7500 or 9000 rom that they are willing to share)

thanks

the web site how to flash a geforce 2mx pci is here. My question is if the firmware in my 9500 is compatible with a pci flashed geforce 2mx?

does anyone know if it will work?

    thanks

you might want to check around www.xlr8yourmac.com

not sure if they have it, but they're one of the best mac hardware sites around. odds are, if you can do it, (or even if they can't) it'll be written up there.
