What does this button do...?

OK, probably a daft rookie question, but I have an unidentified button on my iMac's keyboard... It's on the numeric keypad area, to the left of the '=' key and below the 'volume down' key. The symbol on it is a rectangle with a cross through it. I have had a look through the documents that came with the iMac, but I can't seem to find any reference to it. What does it do ?

    As you see that this button is on the numeric pad. This is used as a clear button in the Caclculator.app or in other words is the clear button for Apple's Calculator application. Hope this calrifies your doubt.
