Word will not print to laser

I have a HP laserjet 1300n connected to my ethernet network and i can not get Word from my eMac to print. It will print everything else but not from Word. Also when I try to print from Apple works it prints with the wrong font (not the one showing up on the screen) and cuts off the rigt ends of the lines. I have tried changing margins and fonts but it always uses te same font and cuts off the edge. My iBook (when not in the shop) can print to word fine, but it IS in the shop now and I need to print to the laser. Word and appleworks print fine to my ink jet but I need the laserr quality. I hav already downloaded the newest version of the driver and it did nothing. Please help if you can.
