B & W upgrade problem, can't burn.

I have a B & W G3 and I can get it to burn. I have two different burners a USB and an internal burner and I get coasters every time. I have eliminated media because the media burns on other machines I have without problems, and in the same usb drive on anopther machine! I have re-installed OSX to a clean formated blank HD and it won't burn. It won't burn in either OS9 or OSX. It will not burn in either Toast nor the finder. I have replaced the memory, still coasters. I have removed the scussi card, no good. Last week I even went to the trouble of buying a replacement logic board and that has not fixed the problem.

I think I am going to look for a steam hammer.

Is there any other possible explanation?

Oh yes I forgot to add that I have also tried a different processor.

What OS are you running on your B&W? What burners are you using?

In Apple System Profiler, does it say "fully supported" under the drive's name?

At what speed are you trying to burn?

In Toast, do you have enable buffer underrun protection checked?

Have you tried a simulation burn in toast to see if you're having data errors?

I've used both an Iomega Zip CD (4x4x6x USB 1.1) and a Lite-On-IT (12x10x32x IDE) burner in my B&W and never had a problem.
