Ack! Annoying Preview bug!

When I drag a bunch of files to Preview, such a wad of screenshots numbered Picture 1, Picture 2, Picture 3 etc you'd think it'd display them in the draw in alphabetical order, but no! Completely random. It really, really annoys me! Any workarounds, thoughts, alternatives? Is it fixed in Panther?

    On Panther, each time you drag a group of files onto Preview, it places them in one window, with their filenames displayed in the thumbnail tray -- in alphabetical order.
