i installed panther yesterday on my 2nd hard drive, and now when i try to boot from there it wont finish starting up. The Apple shows up, with the spinny wheel underneath it, and then the screen goes blue.

and stays there forever. I left it once for about 15 minutes... I try to restart... nothing, i booted off the mac os 9 install cd that came with my computer, and i go to the startup disk control panel, and now my first hard drive, the one still running 10.2.8 doesn't show up.

I finally booted my computer by physically unhooking the 10.3 drive so it would have to boot off 10.2.8. this sucks!!!

any ideas?

ok, it was my frickin pro speakers, for some reason i've always had trouble with them. I know it's my pro speaker jack on my computer, too... I've used these speakers with other power macs before and the speakers work fine.

is there any way i can fix a pro speaker jack? my computer is out of warranty, and a couple years old anyway.

    It's a G4 867 Single processor (quicksilver)

so when my computer tried to start, a blue screen showed up for a long time, but as soon as i unplugged the pro speakers it worked... frickin sucks
