X11 annoyance
In Jag, X11 would start up and launch an xterm window on my maid display (running this on a PB btw).
Since installing Panther, with v1 or X11, if I'm running my laptop stand-alone, then X11 behaves as before. However, if I'm running a second monitor hooked up to my PB (monitor is placed to the left of my PB btw), X11 starts up that xterm window on the other monitor.
Why???
It seems the default behavior of apps has always been to start up on your main display, so why is it doing this? Very annoying. I've looked through the preferences and so far no luck.
Any ideas?

there is a file (startup script) for X11 in your home folder. There you can change which programs start when X does and which monitor they use. I forget the name of the file. it is hidden so it starts with "." and I read about it in the man pages. Try "man startx" to see what it says.
