I never bothered installing X11 in OSX before, but since it was an option on Panther I decided to give it a try. Anyone have a list of good open source programs that run under X11 for OS X?

Personally, I use:
NMap (for scanning computers)
Ethereal (for monitoring networks)
& KStars (for astronomy)

pan is a really great usenet reader
there are a bunch of good games in fink's game section
midnight commander is real nice if you can get it all set up correctly (it's a bit of a bitch at first). It only really works well in xterm.

emacs of course.
Pan is the best newsreader ever.
You can play with all kinds of windowmanagers: blackbox, enlightenment, gnome, kde (complexity increasing generally in that order).
xmms is a simple media player. mplayer is a video/media player (and actually has an OS X port).
Hmmm.. I'm kind of shocked I don't seem to use more than that.
