Educating Panther Users

Panther = MacOS 10.3. (The entire OS)

Darwin = The kernal / underlying network and system protocols. These are very good and capable of just about anything you might want to do.

Finder / Aqua = The nice GUI bit. I am sure that Apple are working as fast as they can at making ALL the underlying functionality available via the Finder, but I think they are doing a damn fine job, and have come a very long way.

I guess I am just getting a bit fed up of Apple user's tarring Panther with the same brush as they tar Windows with.... Windows is inherently shit from all directions... Panther is just waiting for the Finder to catch up...

The Finder is really just another application. It doesn't deserve to be lumped in with Aqua, which is more or less the entire "look and feel" of the OS.
