Powerbook G4 video problem

Hey guys I have a problem I want to see if anyone has any suggestions before I go to Apple. I have a Powerbook G4 1ghz with 1gig of ram and the 64mb vido card. It has recently started giving me problems with video. Games that use to run perfectly are now skipping to the point of unplayability (even low system req games like Escape Velocity). Animations in Powerpoint skip and studder rather than running smoothly. The iTunes visualizers skip and studder along in any size.



I know my video card is not a Radeon 9800 128mb but I am positive it can handle Powerpoint anitmations! Especially since it use to do it perfectly.



Also, it does these things in every power setting.



I have reinstalled Jaguar, I have repaired my permissions, reset my power settings etc. I have also ran it with none of my login items.



So, any ideas or should I just call and bitch at Apple?

    ok they don't make a 128 video card in powerbooks you sure thats what you're using? what exactly is your powerbook 1ghz TI? cuz if so then you have an ATI 9000 or so like me? you're not playing stuff from a crummy cd-rom, usb drive, or somethen shitty are you?

    Are you smoking something?

    Dude, I meant that my card is just a 64mb card (as it says in the post) not the latest greatest card available anywhere. Thus it should still run Powerpoint. I am aware that Apple does not make a 128mb Powerbook card, I am not a total idiot here.



    And no I am not running of a USB drive. Everything is running off the internals.

    I have a G4 cube with a 16mb graphics card. Runs powerpoint and keynote just fine. iTunes visualizer just fine too. Don't know what to tell you.

    I know! It is f'ed up. Guess a call will go in to Apple. Other ideas are welcome.
