The 15" AlBook can survive having orange juice spilled on the trackpad. It works just fine...or at least I think it does, I don't remember how easy or hard to was to push the button before but I think it's the same.



...I'm not just clumsy, my mom let out a gasp or something like she cut herself or something (she was in the kitchen) and I jumped and a big splat of OJ landed on my track pad. I immediately wiped it off once I heard her start explaining it was because a free rental from block buster coupon was expiring that day.



For an hour or two it either wouldn't work or would send my mouse flying across the screen. I did wipe it off with a very slightly damp cloth and try to squeeze out any juice I could from under the trackpad or button. I got a little out and it seems to have been enough. My button to open the 15" seems to stick a little before going in but I think I just need to quetip that. Overall I'm pleased and have learned a valuable lesson.

    Don't drink things while you use an expensive laptop.



    This makes it virtually impossible to spill anything on the keyboard. Why? Because you weren't drinking anything near it.

    I suggest you have it checked and cleaned out... Read about numerous similar instances, and they usually didn't have a happy ending after a few days.

    If the numerous emails from my boss that are probably illegal to show a minor don't offend me I can't imagine your joke will. I have never heard a joke about porn end in a bad manor. I dislike smilies too but I do like AI's smilies, I use them in IM instead of the default ones

    Heh. My roommate dropped a heavy bowl from a few feet up onto my 12" PB. I was like what the )@#UI@#% but hey it still works, haven't even restarted or logged out. Just figured it would keep working. Hit right square over the precious superdrive, and this was a heavy bowl. Grrr. Good thing I didn't buy a fragile PC notebook.
