Help configuring Apache for CGI

Posted:
in Genius Bar edited January 2014
Well help is what I need. I tried some of the 'How to's" i found at macosxhint.com..... it uses the terminal to get to the "apache.conf" file. but i cannot find this file therefore I can't edit it. other people seem to have this problem too, with no resolve posted.

so if anyone knows an easy way to enable the cgi or if they know where the apache.conf file is I'd appreciate the help.

Randy

....whatever... d'you still need help with that apache.conf?

If so, in standard MacOS X (10.3, perhaps earlier Versions as well) installations you can find the apache configuration file (it's called httpd.conf) here:

    /etc/httpd/httpd.conf

If you've installed the Complete Apache2 package by Server Logistics, the configuration file is located here:

    /Library/Apache2/conf/httpd.conf
