Help,, Mail is double punctuating!!

After I upgraded to panther, I discovered that Apple's Mail program was double punctuating when I had the check spelling as I type option turned on. I then opened text edit and found out that it was doing the same thing. I tried removing all of the input managers and services from my ~/Library and /Library and it didn't help. I have coco aspell installed but deactivating that didn't seem to help. Any ideas?

    Yay, I fixed it. For anyone else who has this problem, the commands that you need to type into the terminal to fix this are now posted on COCOAspell's web site.
