Editing Short Name?

Is there any way to edit your Short Name? When I installed Panther I did it via a total clean install. I used a different name for my account, thus my Short Name turned out to be different. Now a script I have will not run because it depends on my previous Short Name.

    I think you can change it with the netinfo manager, but your home directory and anything expecting your current name/home path won't work, and I don't know what'll do to your permissions, but I expect it would be unpleasant

    Couldn't you just change the script? Not the answer you're looking for, but changing your short name may be WAY more trouble than it's worth.

    Like pensieve said, the procedure isn't very pretty. But it is possible.
