SAQ -stupid asked question - disk copy
When copying something big . . . .let's just say as an example . . . but that it isn't this thought
, LiveType, would I use Disk Copy to make a disk image and if so would I use the default compression or no compression?
any otherways to make a Disk image?

Disk Image is supposed to be the best way to go.
less errors allegedly...
As for compression....well there are plenty of choices, but it all depends on your intention..& who your recipient is...
You can use other programs to create disk images though. Toast will make .toast images. Other, third-party, apps will be able to create .iso images.
Personally, I'm growing quite fond of Disk Copy (now Disk Utility). The 'encryption' mode is rather nice as well. For delicate files full of financial information, an encrypted image is probably the best way to go (except for file vault, which is, in the end, an encrypted disk image).
