10.3Mail spam filter stops working + consistent crashes when designating junk mail

The subject pretty much says it all. I have (had until a day ago) an email account which received upwards of 200 spam messages a day - this was my main email account. It didn't bother me TOO much because the spam filter was pretty good at weeding most of those out (I would say 1/8 or so got through).

I upgraded to Panther with it's 'new and improved' spam technology - which worked great for a day or two. Then all of a sudden, it stopped seeing anything as spam at all. In the midst of all this was a spam with no sender and no subject line - when i tried to designate that as junk, Mail would crash. Every time. So I just deleted it and went on. But the junk mail filter wasn't doing anything.

I decided to dump that email address - that is just a rediculous amount of spam. I figured I would put Mail back in training for a while, since I get virtually no spam on any of my other email accounts. The first spam I get though crashes Mail anytime I try to designate it as junk.

Anyone see anything like this? In 10.2 I noticed my spam filter would get stupid every couple weeks, and start letting more and more spam through. Now with 10.3 I can't even designate some messages as spam without crashing it. WTF

Help? Anyone know where the spam 'dictionary' is? I just see broad generic preferences when I look in prefs or the "Mail" directory in my home directory... Unless that LSMMap is it?

Just a little follow up - I got another spam in a different account, and it too crashes mail if I try to designate it as spam.
