Lost his job for posting "Even Microsoft wants G5s"?

According to this guy, he lost his job after having posted a picture of G5's being delivered to Microsoft

    1) Big deal. Of course they'll want G5s. They're one of the biggest software makers for the Mac platform.



    2) Spreading pictures of inside the companies grounds? How can you not see a blatant NDA violation in that. Or even industrial espionage. The guy is a duffus and got what was coming to him.



    You should retitle this thread to "Proof that only morons work at Microsoft".

    Wow, call out the National Guard.



    I'd suggest two things to this guy.



    (A) Get a lawyer,

    (B) Go see Steve ( JOBS )



    Big bloody deal..fancy losing your job over something as trivial as that...it's not as if he was pedalling kiddy porn....



    Man O man this has wrongful dismissal written all over it.

    funny part is they were going to the Print Shop at MS, not the Mac Business Unit.



    implies they use Macs for their publishing.



    maybe they should notify Adobe.....

    Unfortunately, you can be fired for just about any whimsical reason your employer may have (What! you're a Reds fan? You're fired!).

    Tis true. Each state has it's own laws but most are "employment at will". Which means if the will is gone so is the employment.

    This story has been distorted. The guy is not a Microsot employee, nor is he a Xerox employee. He is an employee of a temp agency that Xerox uses to help man MSCopy.

    Yea when ever someone gets shit canned for "no reason" there's always a background story there that has the real details.

    My guess is that they were looking to fire him for a while and this was just a good excuse. He had it coming already, if he did go after them with a lawyer M $ would have a million and a half documented reasons why they fired him, in addition to this one. He has no case. The firing was legitimate, and even if it wasn't M $ would make it look that way.

    Or it could be any one of the many other departments that use Macs at MSFT, including the press & production departments as well as the MacBU.
