Creature Speakers Cutting out?

I was wondering if the Creature Speakers have some sort of safe listening volume, I am wondering because I was listening to a song pretty loud and the bass was loud, and then it just cut out, the speakers didn't work at all, I waited for 10-20 seconds, then turned them off, back on, and they worked. I tried again on same song at same volume, cut out at exact same time, turned off, then on. Listened to same song but turned volume down, the speakers stayed on. What is the deal??

No problem with mine, i have the volume on the creatures set to full and use the keyboard to adjust volume. I do however get a small pop every now and then when the system is idle
