My brother is looking to get a new HD for his iBook, the orignal one, blue and white, 300mhz G3, 128mb RAM, OS X.3. Will this one work?

If not, can anyone point me in the direction of one that will work (that is 30+GB) Thanks a lot!

Not sure about your specific hard drive model, but iBook takes the 9.5 mm (0.4 inches) high 2.5" high drive.

You can always check the Drive Compatibility Database from xlr8yourmac.com

BTW, changing to hard drive on the iBook is "rocket-science"

Very true. If you undertake the procedure, make sure you document the many, many, many steps so you can reverse them. you have to remove approximately 3,000 tiny little screws to get to the hard drive.
