I'm patiently waiting for Apple to release a new display so I can use my Radeon 9800..... but, I don't think I can wait forever. So, what are my alternatives? What's a great 17" or larger DVI display at the same price as Apple's display or cheaper. I know about Formac......... what else can you throw at me?

CRT suggestions are welcome but I prefer LCD.

No more effective screen display (still 1280x1024), but here's a Samsung 19" LCD:

Hyundai (Image Quest) Q 17 : fast : 20 ms, 17 inch, high contrast ratio 500 good brightness : 230 and cheap : 499 ? french taxes included. You have also VGA or DVI connect, USB hub, and two small (rather worthless) two small one watt HP.

I will never return to a CRT screen. 17 inch screen CRT are perfect : 1280 per 1024 is good for most duties.

Yeah, I've got two. Would be nice to have the big mofo 23 incher, but I'm not quite there financially.

When I bought, there was some easy quality control. If it had DVI, is was good. Don't know the case today, but as far as I know Samsung makes the best TFT's, so Samsung is a good bet.

Cool, when did this come out?

I was looking at the samsung 191t as well, but I guess this supercedes it.

Here in Europe I've been able to find the samsung 191t for about 650euro (in France at least).

19inches of goodness and rave reviews from everyone.
