I've replaced my PB harddisk, which leaves me with a 10GB 2,5" disk. I figured I could buy a casing for it and use as an extra harddisk. What is the best way to do this?
Sorry i cant awnswer your question, but i want to replace my PB hard drive too. I was wondering what did your get, how much $, and were did you buy from. I was thinking of getting a firewire drive, but its to much of a pain in the ass to lug around if i needed to.

I bougth it from the retailer who sold me the PB (a place called OfficeLine here in skandinavia, dunno if it exits in US), it was a 30Gb IBM Travelstar 30GN, I paid roughly $275 incl. taxes. However if you have the money go for the 48GH or the new 60GB something, because they both have 5400rpm.
About the casing I found something called <a href="http://www.miglia.com"; target="_blank">miglia</a> minibank in one of the other threads, I just emailed to get the price but it should be aruond $100, like the one corvette found at OWC. I also found a thing from <a href="http://store.powerbook1.com/mcetranprofi.html"; target="_blank">MCE</a>, with both USB and firewire, at $140. So I guess all we have to do is compare and choose. However I'm still interested in further suggestions.
P.S. haven't tried the URL thing before, hope it works... <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
EDIT: I noticed that miglia doesn't write anything about minibank, but it is shown in the picture, and the guy I emailed seemed to know it..

I've made up my mind and figured I would post my findings if anyone is interested...
I'm going to buy the <a href="http://www.mcetech.com/transport.html"; target="_blank">MCE</a>.
It features the same as the other four mentioned in this post + it has USB and is the ligthest.
Well I'm off to check prices (unfortunately the casing isn't sold in Denmark)....
