True story.

Fijian cannibals ate a missionary and have felt they were "cursed " ever since.

So as an attempt to make ammends they invited the descendents of the missionary to accept gifts of apology including the soles of the poor reverends' boots.

A case of cultural indigestion but with a happy outcome...

    A villager said last month that the tragic incident started when the village chief borrowed Mr Baker?s hat.

    That explains it... I'm never letting anybody borrow my hat!
