Comparing DVD-R & CD-R speeds
I remember reading somewhere that 4x DVD writers write data faster than equivalent 4x CD writers. This is because 1x CD is about 150Kbps, and 1x DVD is far higher?
Is this correct, and is it correct to refer to the 150kbps as the CDs 'bandwith', or 'transfer rate'? What is the correct term?
Does anybody know what the figure is for 1x DVD? Is it possible to say that a 4x DVD writer is the same as an ?x CD writer?
