volume keys not working (10.2.6)

sorry if this has been answered before, but i couldn't find a thread covering this.



i updated a g4 from 10.1 to jaguar using archive and install, and the volume keys stopped working. volume in the menu bar doesn't work either; i have to go into System Preferences to change the volume.



things i've done: repair permissions, delete cache, delete a soundpref file (this always works until the computer is shut down or restarted), zap pram.



any help is appreciated

    Upgrade to 10.3, or just go to software update and grab 10.2.8. See if that helps. You already tried all the fix-alls, I don't know what else to tell you.
