New Imac Resolution

Apple say the maximum res on the new imac is 1024 by 768, now is this what they recomend res or the maximum res? My 16mb pci rage can go well higher than that and i assume the 32mb nvinda is better?



I do web / 3d work and 1024 by 768 aint realy enough room for all those pallets!!

    That is the max res. Since it's a LCD it can't go any higher than it's native res (in this case 1024 x 768)

    ...gets blurry and fuzzy and ugly if you go lower.

    what pisses me off is that the VGA port wont give more then 1024X768 either...

    Yeah, that's what pissed me off with the iBook too. I would've probably gotten a 17" LCD instead of 15" for my iBook if it was more than 1024x768.
