Power consumption of powerbook

hola again. I now have a question on how much power my powerbook uses when it is plugged in. I'm interested in buying a power inverter for the car so that I can plug it in. Does anyone know it's ratings? Power rating that is.

I am not sure if this will help you but my PB uses between 50 and 60 watts, depending on whether the batter or the power adapter is used. You should get an inverter that can handle at least three times the wattage you want to use (continuous wattage, not surge output). Most boat supply stores, BoatU.S., West Marine, etc. should have inverters that will plug into a cigarette lighter.

    Hope this helps.

It is printed on the bottom of your PowerBook: "rated ___Vdc ___A". Multiply those two numbers to get the power in W.
