Since I installed Panther I have to enter my admin password every time I want to eject my firewire disk from my desktop G4 but I don't need to on my Powerbook, which is also running Panther.

How can I disable the password dialogue?

Yes, I have been having this problem too. I even tried re-installing the software that came with the hard drive and selected "user" rather than "administrator" to see if this would help. It did not.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this?

    Thanks!!

Just enter the password...not a big deal is it? It may be different because of the different computers that the FW drive is connected to. I honestly don't know. Sorry.
