Thoughts on ATI Radeon 8500 for Mac?

Was wondering what everyone thinks about this card.



I am thinking about getting one for my PM G4 400 AGP.

    this is a very good video card (75 millions triangles per second), with 60 millions of transistor, and more raw power than a geforce 3 ti 500 even if the result are sometimes lower (depends on games).

    These card is perfect to read DVD ,because of hardware decompression of MPEG 2 .

    The biggest question about this card , is the support in the future, even if like the Programmer have explain to us, the next revision of open GL will be the same for every graphics cards companies (no specific extensions , for ATI or nVidia).



    Unfortunetaly, there is no radeon 8500 in France, i must play with my geforce 2 mx, and play at 800*600 high qualities in quake 3 for mac os X (1,31 b3 version)
