Small workgroup laser advice

My lab is looking into buying a laser printer to match with our two DualG4 workstations. I was wondering if any of you had advice on mid-range workgroup printers. It will be reasonably heavily used, probably around 1000-2000 pages per month. For very large jobs, though, we have shared access to an excellent Phaser 860 color laser, so this workgroup printer doesn't have to be the end-all of printers.

Duplex would be a plus, color printing less of a plus, and network sharing not really required (since I think you can share a USB printer via TCP/IP with OSX). We're looking to spend somewhere south of $1000. A few of the models I've been looking at are HPLJ 1300/2300, Lexmark T420, and Samsung ML-2150, but I can't say I knew anything about printers before I started googling.

Any advice?

an HP 2300 laser printer should be a good buy. I have personally an HP 4000 and i enjoy it : i never had any problems with her. And i use it since 5 years.

Lexmark are definitevely less reliable than HP.

My family and my school both haveHP laserjet 1200, and they are fast, high quality, and inexpensive printers.
