Stuffit 8.0x not compatible w panther?!

Is stuffit 8 not compatible with panther? It crashes as soon it tries to expand a file. Anyone with a similar problem?

    try reinstalling stuffit, I"m running panther with s8 on it and it works perfectly.

    Just tried that..



    I did an uninstall of 8. Then reintalled 8, and tried again. Nothing. Updated to 8.01 and tried again. Nothing. I also logged out and tried again. Nothing. Booted again. Nothing. It crashes as soon it tries to unstuff a file. Sent a crash report to Apple.. Hopefully someone will sort it out..

    Figured it out.



    It was SS causing a conflict..

    Very good, major. Is that "SS" as in Stuffit Standard? So how did you fix the problem? I have the problem, too. An Aladdin FAQ page(below) has a fix, but it's confusing and requires installing Stuffit Deluxe, which is not free, right?

    i was talking about stuffit deluxe
