The battery in my cordless phone died. It is 3.6v 600 mAh.
Can I replace it with a 3.6v 700 mAh battery?
Depends. If it is a NiCd battery, you have to use a NiCd battery. If it is NiMH, you need to replace it with NiMH. But the higher capacity alone is not a problem.

Groovy. The batteries are of the same type (NiMH).
Thanks! I figured that this was just a matter of larger charging capacity, but figured I'd ask around before, you know, I burn my house down or something.

They are available, and will allow you to use the phone longer between charges.

If you use the phone a LOT ... go find a 900 or 1100 m.amp. battery ...
